Parabolic Screen

Parabolic Screens are applied for separating Solids from process and Wastewater. The Parabolic Screens are robustly built and required the minimum maintenance and attention. The Raw water pumped over a curved, wedge wire Screen plate where separated particles slide down, due to gravity and the screened water leaves the screen via the outlet. The Screen can be equipped with a programmable spray cleaning device in case of wastewater contains fiber like material or Fat. The screen is built with stainless steel wedge wire mesh from 0.25 mm to 1.5 mm to remove any solids above this mesh size.

The Parabolic Screen operates based on the principle of mechanical filtration. Liquid containing suspended solids enters the parabolic screen, where the shape of the screen directs the flow of water. As the liquid flows across the parabolic surface, the solid particles are captured on the screen, and only the filtered water passes through the mesh or perforated surface.

Features :

  • Parabolic Design: The unique parabolic shape maximizes filtration surface area and improves the flow distribution, resulting in efficient removal of suspended solids
  • High Filtration Efficiency: The screen effectively captures a wide range of solid particles, from fine particles to larger debris, depending on the mesh size.
  • Self-Cleaning Mechanism: Many parabolic screens feature an integrated self-cleaning system that helps maintain the efficiency of the screen by removing accumulated solids from the surface.
